The Histories of Human

He was born in Karatay, Konya in 1969. He started his career as a pick-up editor in Yeni Meram Newspaper in 1985 then he started to work as a reporter in Turkey’s Yarın Newspaper in 1987. He worked as reporter, intelligence chief, news director, program manager, Editor-in-Chief and General Manager in many broadcasting organizations. He worked as a manager in TV, newspapers and magazines. He also served as the Chairman of the Environmental Health Union Association (ÇESAB) for a while. He has got many qrofessional awards.

Holder of a permanent Yellow Pres Card, he has worked at various levels in many fields in the media, including Television Anchorman. He published Turkey’s first Arabic newspaper called “Ceridetül Merhaba”. He observed the conflicts on the spot and worked as a war correspondent in the most tense an active regions of the Middle East, such as Iran-Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Jerusalem. He has been publishing Konya’s first English newspaper, THE KONYA NEWS. İşkan says “I continue my 37-year career in a stormy, hustle-filled profession as the Head of THE KONYA NEWS and TV 42 News Department” İşkan also has a book called “Human Histories”, which has been also translated into English.

He has collected all his impressions about War Correspondence and Foreign Policy Correspendence in the field in his book TRİO, which he has written in Turkish and English.

İşkan hes been married to journalist Semanur İşkan since 1995 and they have three children named Doğuhan, Doğa and Sıla.
